Following many threads on social media and wedding forum web sites, I repeatedly have come across the question of where to go with your photos if you want to make your own wedding photo album. One common advice is to go to blurb, Shutterfly or other photo book makers. Also, it is often noted that many wedding photo album makers, like Queensberry, do only business with photographers. But should you really get a photo book for your wedding photo album? This article is trying to highlight the pros and contras of photo books in comparison to proper wedding photo albums.
Count your photos and buy a photograph album based on the number of photos that you want store. Albums are available with many different capacities, ranging from those that store just a few photos all the way to those than can store hundreds. Choose a small album that features a single photo per page if you only want to include a handful of cherished images or choose a large album to store lots of photos.

If you're just starting out, however, it's a good idea to use a three-ring album first. Moreover, you should keep in mind that using a ringed album does not necessarily mean you're creating low quality work, because not all veteran scrapbookers use strap-hinged albums, anyway.
If you can afford it, try to buy as many page protectors as you can. Buy a few sets that you can use for at least two or three more albums. This way, you will save yourself from having to go on a shopping trip every time you want to start a new scrapbook project. To save even more time and money, try to buy page protectors in bulk. You can also trim them down to size if you want to use them later for smaller-sized albums.
