Albums And Frames / February 13, 2019 / Nayeli Strong
With all the different types of photo albums and the variety of themes and patterns, choosing a photo album can be more difficult than expected. The best way to select an album is to look for a design that matches the mood of the pictures. A wedding album will probably not look the same as a vacation album or a baby scrapbook, or even an album from a night of event photography. The cost of albums and materials can also affect this choice. Most of all, a photography album should invoke positive emotions about the experiences inside. If it does this, the album is a wonderful success.
Some albums close with a snap or buckle; others have a leather strap that is tied shut. They usually come in either a 12-inch square or an 8½-inch by 11-inch format. The larger format allows more diversity when laying out the photos. A nicer album with the pages stitched in place cannot have pages added to it. Some albums have ring binders so you can add new pages later. A one-inch ring can hold about 100 photos. A two-inch ring can hold up to 400. The non-expandable types require careful planning to make sure you don't run out of pages or have empties at the end.
